How to Get a Date Washington DC Style!

In some ways it is easy to get Date Washington DC style, yet it is hard in other ways.  The fact that Washington is a busy city with almost a million people plays a key role in this.  Professionals in the City has the solution to this with their singles seated speed dating events.

You would think that finding a date without a date search would be easy in the city because you would run into attractive single people no matter where you go.  That is not exactly the case.  Even though there are so many people in the capitol, they are all very busy leading their lives.

Between work, home in time to shower and eat dinner, and sleep, there are very few hours in a day to find a Date Washington DC.  Think about it: get ready and drive to work (1 hour), work (8), get gas, drive home and take a shower (1), eat dinner, do laundry, call mom (2) sleep (8).  That leaves only four hours!

A single person could spend those four hours walking around malls and hopping around bars downtown, hoping to "run into" a date.  They could log in to a dating site to try and find an online date.  They could go on a non-singles hike, attend a seminar, or do a wine tasting at the Jazz festival over the weekend-- all four hour or less events that singles end up making matches at.  Then, there are Professionals in the City speed dating events where busy single professionals can meet more "single and looking" people in a two hour period that they normally would all year long!  Think about it-- two hours to meet fifty people, and then you still have two hours to yourself!

With at least one different speed Date Washington DC event going on every night of the week, everybody is bound to find at least one each month that interests them.  There are speed dating events for every race, religion, age group, orientation, and interest.  There are also rotating profile dinners and lock and key parties which are very similar and attract just as many people!

How to Keep a Date Washington DC

If you are a woman trying to get a Date Washington DC, there are some things you need to keep in mind, for you do not want to run the guys off.  First of all, you should try to stray away from acting like an overly proper "business woman".  As you are entering the dating scene, you should dress the part-- the "lady" part.  If you look like his boss, he is going to treat you like he treats his boss, and that is no grounds for a romantic relationship.

Here is another tip: it is good to be honest with a man about how many men you have had relationships with, the terms those relationships ended on, and whether or not you are over them.  However, a man does not what to know about every romantic encounter you have had-- especially not the details!  That is a surefire way to have your date love running away quicker than you can spend $100 at Victoria's Secret!

Once you are in the relationship, avoid trying to talk about feelings and the status of the relationship all the time.  If there is something up between you two, whether good or bad, you will know it without having to talk about it for thirty minutes.  If he loves you, he will tell you.  More than likely, if there is something he is trying to keep from you, grilling him with loaded questions all week long is not going to bring it out of him.  All that you will accomplish by frequently wanting to discuss the status of the Date Washington DC relationship is annoying him to the point of driving him away.

It is super important that you do not try to rush a relationship.  Once you find someone after a long date search, it is easy to feel like you want to immediately settle down into a real relationship in order to feel like it is secured.  Slow down, and enjoy the "butterflies-in-your-tummy" stage of the relationship.  It is true that good things come to those who wait.  Besides, if a man feels like he is being tied down before he has time to think, he is definitely going to be trying to get up and run the other way to clear his head.

The worst thing you can do once you have entered into a relationship is… try to change him.  First of all, if you did not like who the guy was in the first place, then you should not have gone out with him.  Second of all, it is not your place to ask someone to change.  If you plan on waiting around for him to become the person who you want him to be, you are better off spending that lifetime searching for a new Date Washington DC.
