What Do You Look For At The Relationship Supermarket?

Some might see this as a strange analogy but when it comes to love it is almost like going on a weekly shop. We all look for what we like whilst shopping, and avoid the things that leave a sour taste in our mouth; this is none to different to what we do in dating. We all steer away from traits that don't leave us with great feelings, and we are attracted to certain things.

Some things that we like in the supermarket will have a negative effect on us in some ways, at least in the long term. But the short term effect on us is so great that it requires us to actually take part in it. Other more dull things such as bread and milk are essentially dull, but the dull things give us the foundation for the rest of our lives.

In relationships we compare these sorts of things to loyalty and kindness, they won't actually get us into bed very quickly, but in the long term we will be better off for it. The irresistible taste that is sweetness, such as chocolate or a tasty cake is something we can compare to sex appeal. Knowing that this is going to be a great experience means we have to do it, but even with all this we know it is not sustainable in the long run.

So a balance is also expected in this sort of arena, but you cannot go around and by everything in the store it simply isn't sustainable or affordable. The money you spend in the supermarket is represented by the feelings and heart you put into a relationship. You only have so much to give, and you always have to leave some to yourself, because if you cannot do this you will be left in ruin.

So knowing everything you already know about the supermarket you have no excuse in where you end up. Every now and then it is healthy to have a dabble in something you are not used to, a random change is sometimes beneficial and it may be the way to go. But you also have to ask yourself if fit is actually the right way to go at times.

Be balanced, healthy and most importantly happy, and if you can get all three then you really will get yourself ahead in the game.
