Same Old, Same Old

Why do we put up with the same old rubbish in our relationships that we have done for a number of years. If you feel like your partner takes you for granted, stays away from you a lot of the time and doesn't treat you with the respect you deserve then you are not alone. There are so many people all over the world that feel exactly the same as you do.

They feel like their relationship is going all one way, going all one way because only one of them really cares about the other. There is no way in which you can easily get out of this slump it is a case of the same old stunts, different day. No easy ways to get out of the situation and no ambition to, you would be forgiven for thinking that outsiders think you are stupid.

But they really do understand because there are so many different people in the same situation as you. You struggle to work two jobs whilst your partner sits there at home drinking beer watching sports on the sofa. Getting a bigger stomach line every month and becoming more ignorant towards you.

There are no easy ways round it, you really have to dig in and be enthusiastic towards a new life away from your relationship. If you think you can make a go of it away from your relationship then go for it, because the relief it will give you is a real weight of the shoulders.

If you can believe the statement that your partner will change then try it, but the chances are you won't be able to get the change you seek out of them. They are not all of a sudden going to jump up, be better people and work hard to seek your approval again. It just doesn't work like that.

Any improvement that is made through them, will take time and a conscientious effort from you partner. It will have to come from them and them only, if you cannot build yourself up from that then go ahead and try it.

Life is difficult and very hard to underestimate just how difficult it can be, so work hard at it and try to be rational towards your partner. They may not deserve it but if you want it to work you will have to be. Given that life is hard if you see your life away from your partner do it now.
